I have been using my canon eos rebel K2 film SLR since I’ve needed to in photography and beyond and well buying film and constantly developing it is a hassle and cost lots of money. So I’ve decided that in the long it would be cheaper to Get a DSLR and it has many more advantages.
The problem is I don’t know what to get. I would like my DSLR to have many good features that I would actually use and not just useless ones for begginers but i’d also like for it to be cheap such as for around 500 to 700 dollars 800 at the most.
Some cameras I have looked at are the Canon T1i Sony a500 and 550, plus multiple Nikons.
So i guess I’ve narrowed it down to
The Canon T1i and T2i
Nikon D5000
Sony a500 or 550
I’ve liked the other suggested cameras their just way outta my price range.

I bought an SLR digital camera in 2005 but I never learned how to use it… I’m sure the camera is outdated now but it’s the sony cybershot dsc-H1 and I REALLY want to learn how to use it and take professional looking photographs. I can’t take any photography classes at the moment (maybe in the future) but until then, how can I learn to use it. I read the instructions manual and it’s pretty confusing..HELP!

I recently decided I might do some photography. I used to do it years ago but got discouraged when I was going through rolls and rolls of film… the newer digital cameras seem to have solved the problem, so I thought I might do it again as I’m retired. In looking at some of the used equipment out their, I’m wondering what to buy… Sony, Canon, Nikon… First question is about interchangable lens… some one said that Sony’s use minolta lens… is that true? … and then what megapixel should I shoot for. any help would be appreciated.
I was just wondering what type of batteries a SONY ALPHA A100K 10.2MP DIGITAL SLR CAMERA would use and how expensive they would be. Thanks!!
i’m buying the camera over the internet, and it is saying that they don’t have the battery charger or the battery because they already gave that away.
I am traveling to Europe next Feb and want a good quality digital SLR to photograph landscapes, architecture, people etc. What should I get besides the base camera? A tripod? How much are the memory do the cameras come with? How much memory do you think I need for a 2 week trip (thinking around 1000-1500 pictures)? I currently use a Sony Cybershot 4.1 megapixel with a 1 gig memory card……
I can spend up to 00 total for all Equipment but would rather stay under 0. I am looking for a digital SLR where I can manipulate the f/stop and exposure time, not a point and shoot. Thanks
